Oxbridge Honors Program Applicants Only: Jewell's Oxbridge Program is a selective academic program for students who wish to pursue an Oxbridge major field of study through individual and small-group tutorials and by independent reading and research. The program also involves a year of study at Oxford University. In addition to the first-year application for admission requirements indicated above, interested students should submit the following items to complete their application for Oxbridge consideration:

Substitute the following Oxbridge essay prompt for the personal statement requested on the Jewell application for admission. Your essay should be between 250-500 words in length:
Which would you argue is more important for a strong democracy: science or humanities-based education? Be sure your response defines what is meant by both notions and offers at least one concrete example.

Applicants must first be admitted to William Jewell College before their application materials for the Oxbridge Program will be considered. Upon acceptance to Jewell, the Oxbridge committee will review your application and select candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview with a panel of Oxbridge faculty.
