William Jewell College will host a Public Service and Nonprofit Career Day from 2:30 to 4:45 p.m. on February 19 in Yates-Gill College Union Rooms 221-222.
The free event is open to the public and includes an introduction to each agency from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and networking with agencies from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Agencies will be available to discuss career opportunities, internships, summer jobs and volunteer experiences.
The following organizations will be in attendance: Boy Scouts of America; Camp Encourage; Camp Fire USA Heartland Programs; Camp Quality; City of Kansas City, Missouri; FBI; Federal Reserve Bank; Girl Scouts; Harvesters; Heartland Camps; International Trade Council of Kansas City; Jackson County, Mo.; Jewish Vocational Service; Jumpstart Kansas City; Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care; L’arche Heartland; March of Dimes; Missouri Division of Youth Services; National MS Society Mid America Chapter; Salvation Army Children’s Center; TRADOC; U.S. Army and Army Reserves; U.S. Marine Corps Officer Selection; U.S. Navy Medical and Officer Programs; US Secret Service; Waynesville AmericCorps & VISTA; and Youth Volunteer Corps.
The fair is co-sponsored by college’s Career Services, Nonprofit Leadership Association, the Political Science Department, the Academic Achievement Center and the Service Learning Program.
