Gary Bracken has been named Vice President for Enrollment at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. Bracken served as vice president at St. Leo College in Florida from 1997 to 2009 before leaving to serve as president of University Financial Aid Solutions. Prior to his work at St. Leo, Bracken worked in admissions at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla., Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., and Ithaca College School of Music in Ithaca, N.Y. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree at Columbia University Teachers College, New York, N.Y.
In his position at St. Leo College in St. Leo, Fla., Bracken was responsible for developing and implementing recruitment plans for traditional age students. He also developed plans for the college’s Center for Online Learning and developed and implemented financial aid leveraging systems to help the institution achieve its enrollment goals. Bracken is a frequent conference and seminar presenter for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and participated in USA Today’s Hotline for College Admission and Financial Aid.
