The Jewell Artist Series continues its inaugural season at William Jewell College with a free concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 17 in John Gano Memorial Chapel on the campus in Liberty, Mo. The public is invited to attend; no tickets or reservations are required.
Elaine Brown, flutist and instructor of music at William Jewell, will be joined by several Jewell faculty and former faculty members, including Tony Brandolino, violin; Monty Carter, viola; Trilla Ray-Carter, cello; Jim Grimm, guitar; Ann Posey, harpsichord; and Betty Dunham, piano. The diverse program includes selections by Baroque master J.S. Bach and modern composer George Crumb. A post-concert reception will allow audience members to greet the artists.
