The Department of Music at William Jewell College presents the Handbell Choir in their Spring Concert on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. The concert will be in the Sanctuary of the Liberty Manor Baptist Church, 1000 Birmingham Road, in Liberty, Mo., and is free and open to the public.
The Choir will feature original works and arrangements by Cynthia Dobrinski, Jeffrey Honore, Cathy Moklebust and Douglas Wagner. Jessye Chandler will be directing her original composition, “Ye Olde Faire,” incorporating the tunes of “Scarborough Fair” and “Greensleeves.” Kyle Alexander, student-conductor, will be the cello soloist in the arrangement of “You Raise Me Up,” arranged by Joel Raney and will also conduct “Rhythmic Rip!” by John Behnke.
The following graduating seniors will be recognized for their service in the Handbell Choir: Kyle Alexander, St. Louis, Mo.; Lauren Anderson, Sunrise Beach, Mo.; Jessye Chandler, Bridgeton, Mo.; and Lisa Strombach, Ellisville, Mo.
