William Jewell College’s Christian Student Ministries will host a stand-up comedy night at 8 p.m. February 19 in John Gano Memorial Chapel on the campus in Liberty, Mo. The fundraising event will raise money for the organization’s Honduras missions project, planned for May of 2008. Donations will be collected at the door; tickets or reservations are not required, and the public is invited to attend.
Comedian Kent Rader of the William Jewell class of 1981, known as “The World’s Cleanest Comedian,” will be featured. Rader’s humor centers on the power of laughter to reduce stress in everyday life. He is the author of the book Let It Go, Just Let It Go. Also on the program are southeast Missouri radio personality Shawn James ’07; junior Adam Knight; and seniors Emily Fine and Dacus Bowles.
