The Stocksdale Gallery of William Jewell College continues its exhibition season by featuring the paintings of Liberty artist Nano Nore. The exhibit will begin with an opening reception held in the gallery on Sunday, March 4, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The exhibit will run through March 30, 2007. The gallery is located on the second floor of Brown Hall on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. The opening reception and exhibit are open to the public and free of charge.

Nore, who serves as Professor of Art and Art History at William Jewell College, received her B.F.A. from the Kansas City Art Institute and an M.A. and M.F.A. from Texas Women’s University. She has been on the faculty at William Jewell since 1988. Nore has exhibited in solo and group exhibits across the country and her work is included in various collections.

In the Stocksdale Gallery exhibit, entitled “Northern Exposures,” Nore uses oils, watercolors and oil sticks in a personal interpretation of landscapes she encountered while on a recent three-month journey in England and Norway.

Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information contact gallery director Rob Quinn at 816-781-7700, ext. 5415, or by email atquinnr AT william.jewell DOT edu.
