David Auburn’s internationally known drama “Proof” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. January 26 and 27 at Peters Theater in Brown Hall on the William Jewell College campus in Liberty, Mo. “Proof” will be performed and directed as a senior theatre project by Jewell student Amy Walmann. The play explores the life of an intelligent young woman, Catherine, caretaker to her brilliant mathematician father who is suffering from dementia at the end of his life.
Auburn’s story leads Catherine through a captivating journey complicated by suspicion, vulnerability, love and self-discovery.
Walmann, a resident of Osawatomie, Kan., is a senior theatre major at William Jewell College. Also in the cast are Andy Kirk of Scott City, Kan., Erin McNeil of Ridgway, Colo., and Damen Webster of Cameron, Mo.
