William Jewell College Handbell Choir to perform

The William Jewell College Handbell Choir, under the direction of Christie White, will offer a series of free concerts in schools and churches throughout the region during the month of February. The public is invited to attend.
The schedule:
• 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8: Southern Hills Christian Church, 3207 South Blvd., Edmond, Okla.
• 1:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9: Loreta Hickey Elementary School, 4100 Coldwater Creek, Plano, Texas
• 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9: Royal Lane Baptist Church, 6707 Royal Lane, Dallas, Texas
• 7 p.m. Feb. 10: First Baptist Church, 227 North Union Ave., Shawnee, Okla.
• 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11: Park Hill Christian Church, 6601 N.W. 72nd Street, Kansas City, Mo.
The program includes a wide range of music by such noted handbell composers and arrangers as William Payn, Cynthia Dobrinski, Betty Garee, Mary Kay Parrish and Arnold Sherman.
Handbell Choir members include Andrew Wingfield and Allison Cobb of Shawnee, Okla.; Barrett Wooten of Plano, Texas; and Rebecca Killam of Carrollton, Texas.
