Craig Zahnd has been named to the William Jewell College Board of Trustees. His term on the liberal arts college’s governing board began in October.

A member of the William Jewell College class of 1989, Zahnd is Managing Director and General Counsel of the Americas Region at Swiss Reinsurance Company, where he previously served as Head of Litigation. Before joining Swiss Re, Zahnd worked as an attorney at GE Insurance and Shook, Hardy & Bacon. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Zahnd volunteered for nine years on the William Jewell President’s Advisory Council. He resides in Overland Park, Kan., with his wife, Deana McCrossen Zahnd, Jewell class of 1988, and sons Andrew and Adam.
