Qualifications
1. Earned Master of Science in Nursing, doctoral preparation preferred. Will consider if working towards a Master of Science in Nursing. 2. Experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level in an accredited institution preferred 3. Current certification as a registered professional nurse in the states of Missouri and Kansas 4. Current BCLS certification, updated immunizations, and HIPAA compliance as required by clinical agencies

Clinical Planning: 1. Plan student clinical assignments with course and clinical coordinator and communicate to affiliating agencies 2. Confirm agency compliance requirements for students and clinical faculty 3. Participate in orientation of affiliating agency 4. Help Clinical Coordinator plan, facilitate, and communicate date, time, location, and expectations of clinical orientation to students 5. Verify with clinical coordinator that specifics of student experiences on clinical units or facilities have been arranged 6. Complete orientation with our Nursing Arts Lab Coordinator which will include orientation to our Informatics program
Clinical Experiences: 1. Provide surveillance of the quality of student experiences in affiliating agencies 2. Network with clinical agency staff and liaisons 3. Mediate any concerns encountered with affiliating agencies 4. Supervise clinical practice as needed/desired 5. Participate in course meetings 6. Grade student clinical paperwork when indicated 7. Communicate weekly with clinical faculty, NAL coordinator, and course coordinator 8. Monitor student clinical probations 9. Provide clinical coordinator with student clinical grades and required clinical paper work 10. Report to clinical coordinator 11. Verify need for and plan for clinical makeup
Completion and Evaluation of Clinical Experiences: 1. Help clinical coordinator plan, provide forms, and facilitate student, clinical faculty, and staff nurse evaluation of clinical experiences (CNE) 2. Review student and agency evaluation of clinical faculty 3. Facilitate expressions of gratitude to clinical units 4. Complete thank you letters to clinical faculty and agencies
