Recognizing Achievement
As a college focused on student success, Jewell recognizes individual academic excellence and scholarship through honor societies.
Induction into national and professional honor societies is one way Jewell supports student success and rewards high achievement.
Academic honor societies offer many benefits for students, such as building leadership skills, hosting job fairs and alumni networking events, funding trips to regional and national conferences and supporting grants for research.
Honor societies acknowledge success at events such as annual induction ceremonies and Honors Convocation, and members are issued honor regalia and cords to wear during Commencement ceremonies. Some groups offer scholarships and grants and assist with the transition to professional membership after graduation.
