Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education names Jewell KC’s highest ranked college

William Jewell College was the highest ranked school in Kansas City according to the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education’s 2020 college rankings.

Jewell placed third highest in the state of Missouri, behind Washington University and St. Louis University. Jewell ranked 328th on the overall list and in the top 200 in the category of resources, which includes finance per student, faculty-student ratio and faculty research. The Wall Street Journal/THE overall rankings use a weighted formula of four categories made up of 15 indicators, including faculty-student ratios, faculty research, graduation rates, faculty/student diversity, student responses to Times Higher Education’s Academic Survey and more. 

The college was also ranked in the top 400 in the category of student engagement, which is based largely on student recommendations and engagement, faculty-student interactions and number of accredited programs.
