Personal Flourishing Classes
The heart of Personal Flourishing through the Center for Faith and Culture centers around Flourishing classes offered by Jewell faculty members and select local pastors that reflect on issues of faith and culture. Each class is unique, taught from the perspective of flourishing and faith from each faculty member’s discipline.
Our course offerings include a focus on faith as it relates to Literature, Science, Politics, the Arts, Music, Nursing, Finance and Biblical Studies. Our classes are taught in four-week sessions or during a one-day seminar format at Jewell and in our local partner congregations: Community Christian Church in Kansas City, Second Baptist Church in Liberty, Village Presbyterian in Prairie Village, Country Club Christian Church near the Plaza, and Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Downtown Kansas City.
