Micro Operas
The SALT Quintet and Jewell students presented excerpts of five newly commissioned works drawing from the memoirs of real-life women. Three micro-operas by Kansas City-based composers Lisa Neher and Forrest Pierce and NYC-based composer Rachel DeVore Fogarty will be linked by quartets by Emily Feld and a piano work by Jeeyoung Kim to tell stories of strength, spice and preservation from generation to generation.
