Shape the Future Grant
Special grants for students of color and underrepresented student populations.
William Jewell is committed to promoting equity and removing financial barriers for students. We have set aside special grant funding to promote inclusivity and to graduate students who reflect the rich diversity of our society. The goal: promote access to higher education for students who want to serve and change our society.
Grant funding is limited. To qualify, you must be admitted to the College, submit a 2023-2024 FAFSA or CSS Profile and complete the grant application by July 1, 2023. Students will be awarded based on date of application and priority will be given, but funds not limited to, underrepresented student categories majoring in Accounting, Education, Nursing and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields. Financial need will also be considered during the awarding process. GPA and test scores will have no bearing on the decision to award grants.
Grants may be combined with other Jewell need-based grants or merit scholarships but not in excess of full tuition. Because the grant program is intended to support underrepresented student populations, applicants must disclose their gender and ethnic identity. Underrepresented students are those who identify as non-white and/or whose gender may be underrepresented in their chosen field of study.
