Talent Scholarships for Your Superpower

William Jewell is home to a number of outstanding programs. We seek talented debaters and performers in vocal and instrumental music, marching band, theatre, cheer and dance.

If you have an interest in performing arts, you can participate in multiple ensembles and, at the highest level, will perform regionally and nationally in premier venues. Scholarships are available to performing arts majors and non-majors and vary in amount from $500 to $3,000 per year. Talent scholarships require an audition with program faculty and coaches.

Talent scholarships are currently offered in the following areas:

  • Cheer
  • Dance
  • Gina Lane Debate Society
  • Athletic Band (Cardinal Sound)
  • Vocal and Instrumental Music
  • Theatre Performance and Design/Tech

Premier Talent Scholarships

Premier talent scholarships recognize outstanding performance ability and academic merit. Recipients of this award demonstrate talent and ability that elevate an ensemble and a next-level commitment to your craft. Premier talent awards are for $7,500 per year. As an award that recognizes academic merit and ability, this scholarship replaces any previously awarded Academic Scholarship.

Premier talent scholarships are currently offered in the following areas:

  • Debate
  • Vocal and Instrumental Music
  • Theatre Performance and Design/Tech
