Jewell celebrates being recognized for outstanding value in higher education in SmartAsset’s recent college rankings of America’s Best Value Small Colleges and Universities.

SmartAsset evaluated more than 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities with enrollments under 5,000 students, naming 75 of those schools a best-value small college. One of three Missouri schools listed, Jewell landed in the top third of the nationwide list at #23  and is the only school listed from the Kansas City metro area. Rankings are based on a composite score derived from graduation rates and median alumni earnings among accredited institutions with 5,000 or fewer students and a cost of attendance below the median for similarly sized schools.

The SmartAsset ranking underscores Jewell’s commitment to delivering a high-quality liberal arts education with strong outcomes and affordability for students. This recognition reflects the College’s efforts to balance academic rigor, student success and financial accessibility through scholarships, need-based aid and programs that prepare graduates for meaningful careers.

“Being recognized for value by SmartAsset affirms what our students, alumni and faculty experience every day — a transformative education that prepares graduates for both life and work,” said Dr. Drew Van Horn, president of William Jewell College. “We remain focused on ensuring an exceptional educational experience that is accessible and worth the investment.”
