Classes are canceled for a day of fun and relaxation at the end of the spring semester. Enjoy yoga, lawn games, live music, a DJ, inflatable obstacle courses, free meals, happy hour and even liquid nitrogen ice cream, compliments of chemistry students.

Fall semester isn’t complete without a full week of celebrations and competitions, including football, tailgating, Greene games, Casino Night and royalty.

Celebrate the holiday season by singing carols by candlelight, watching our Quad buildings come to life, hanging the green and seeing it snow inside. It’s magical!

Your time at Jewell will come full circle when you take a walk around the Quad behind bagpipers on both your first and last day of college.

The area behind Browning Hall, dubbed Browning Bowl, has been cited as one of Kansas City’s best sledding spots. Grab a sled and give it a try!

The David Nelson Duke Colloquium is a day set aside each spring, giving you the opportunity to present scholarly research and creative works to the campus community.

Since 1982, Jewell has offered its Christmas gift in words and music to the community. We gather at Kansas City’s Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral to enjoy music and readings and reflect on the holy season.

A tradition since 1944, student leaders host a dinner with distinguished alumni on campus and network with community leaders at an awards dinner in Kansas City.

More than 100 student scholarships and recognitions are presented at Honors Convocation each spring. The ceremony closes with naming the prestigious Faculty Award winner.
