Anna Kaaiakamanu, DNP, RN, CCRN

Dr. Anna Kaaiakamanu, DNP, RN, CCRN, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at William Jewell College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Jewell College before completing her Master’s degree in Nursing Education and Doctor of Nursing Practice. Dr. Kaaiakamanu began her career in critical care nursing at Centerpoint Medical Center, where she worked in the Intensive Care Unit and developed a particular interest in trauma and cardiac nursing. She brings her clinical experience and passion for nursing education into the classroom and skills laboratory at Jewell.

Dr. Kaaiakamanu joined the William Jewell College Nursing faculty in 2019, initially serving as a clinical instructor. Since joining the faculty, she has taught across multiple areas of the nursing curriculum, including clinical courses, nursing skills laboratory, health assessment, and Adult Health III. Her teaching focuses on helping students develop the clinical judgment, technical skills, and confidence needed to provide safe and competent patient care. She is particularly passionate about creating engaging, application-based learning experiences that help students connect classroom knowledge to real-world nursing practice.
