Biography
Dr. Braitman joined the Jewell faculty in 2012. Her primary areas of research are in highway safety (distracted driving and young drivers) and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She serves as vice president of grants and awards for the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of the American Psychological Association). She is a recipient of Jewell’s Academic Advisor Award and the Carl F. Willard Distinguished Teacher Award.
She previously served as chair of psychology at Jewell and was named a vice president in 2025.
