Why Choose a Liberal Arts College?
Like many prospective students in and outside the Kansas City area, one of your first questions about William Jewell College is likely: What does a liberal arts education even mean? How can attending a liberal arts college in Missouri benefit me? And we embrace those kinds of questions, because it means you’re already thinking critically about your purpose and your future.
As a community, we value:
Authentic Engagement
We show up fully, honestly and with purpose. Grounded in relationships, we practice engagement in every space—listening, contributing and leading.
Innovative Thought
We question, explore and create. Curiosity is not a trait we admire from a distance; it is a discipline we practice.
Courageous Citizenship
We act on what we believe. Through critical thinking, ethical discernment and spiritual exploration, we cultivate the courage to engage the world and the conviction to change it.
